This is A Mark X Science Tricorder replica seen throughout Star Trek: Deep Space 9
and Voyager.
When opened it makes A ratchet sound Followed by a Scanning sound and over 90 LEDS come on in Sequence accurate to the ones on the show. Press the F1/F2 key and the LEDS sequence changes and you here peeping as if commands are being keyed in, press again than the LEDS blink more raped with a faster scanning sound, and once more the scanning sound stopes Followed by what sounds like a distress call. I later had installed 4 push buttons under the FWD/INPUT, RVS/ERASE, I key, and E key Door graphics which beeps when pressed. I have also had a magnet installed to keep the door closed.
It runs on a NiMH battery with its own charger. I Acquired the piece off E-bay from David Christian and later had the push buttons and magnet installed by David as well.
