James Bond: Goldfinger, Lake Toplitz Nazi Gold Bar

replica movie prop

Gold-plated replica of a bar from a rumored hoard of lost Nazi gold, used by Bond to entice Auric Goldfinger. Although authentic gold bars smelted by Nazi Germany have not been found, they are known to have existed from vintage Third Reich photographs and films. Lake Toplitz, high in the Austrian Alps, was a site of Nazi explosive testing and rumored to be a location where vast quantities of gold and other valuables were dumped toward the end of the war.

This is the third version of this prop that I've picked up. All three are considerably different. This one has nice detailing and an excellent 'hand', but could be heavier.

By a professional movie propmaker; limited run of 8 pieces.
