Xena: Warrior Princess, King Con style dagger prop

Set-used dagger made of resin and soft foam in the blade. Like mostly all Xena props it has a metal rod inside to avoid bending. This dagger acquired by Global Effects in a prop trade in the early 2000’s and was stored since then. I have just seen a few of them in the last 10 years, so it is a quite rare one.

This dagger had a few appearances in season 3. Firstly, this dagger was used by the warlord, Dexon, at the beginning of the episode “Warrior… priestess… tramp” when Leah, the Virgin Priestess, wanted to be sacrificed for peace. Later on, this dagger was used by Titus, the owner of the play house, in the episode “King Con” and a very quick appearance in the episode “Tsunami” hanging on the belt of a mariner when Gabrielle tried to save Autolycus from prison.
