In action director Renny Harlin's massive box office smash "Cliffhanger" (1993) which almost killed its top stars during production, John Lithgow plays Eric Qualen, a former Military Intelligence member who leads a group of ruthless criminals in an attempt to recover over $100 Million belonging to the US Treasury Department. The journey takes them to the tops of the Rocky Mountains and to Rescue Ranger Sylvester Stallone. You can take it from there! Lithgow's role has been deemed one of the best of his amazing career, and one of the rare times he plays a blood-thirsty heatless villain to grand chilling effect. This is his hero screen worn complete outfit. It includes the iconic faux-fur collared Cico International Sportsman jacket, black leather palm-reinforced button gloves, burgundy paisley scarf (with production stains), thermal t-shirt with mock-turtle neck insert, a full thermal faux-fur lined zippered body suit and Magnum Hi-Tec Mountain Hiking boots (complete with the original production mountain mud still on the soles!). "Qualen" is written on the jacket label, and also in the seam lining of the body suit.
