PUSH THE BUTTON.
In third season episode Your Face or Mine, Carter undergoes a biannual DOD recertification exam which involves facing a unique VR simulation challenge, armed with only his wits and a panic switch, which can be used to shut off (and thus fail) the test instantly. This hard rubber stunt prop, realistically painted, turns out to be the key element in Carter's 'inspired' solution to his puzzle.
