A Chachapoyan Fertility Idol replica prototype casting produced by Icons Replicas from the original mold used in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. The appearance of this idol is well-known due to the opening of Raiders, where Indy may be seen retrieving the piece from a booby trapped temple. 

Originally made by the now defunct Icons Replicas, this prototype was produced just before the company’s demise and never reached mass production. As result, only two are thought to have been made. This casting is made from resin and is not fully painted. Unlike its golden counterpart, this version of the idol is painted with only a base coat of yellow/cream colored paint and shows some difference in color along the edges where the base coat has worn away. Some bubbles are present in the resin along the underside of the idol’s chin. Also included is a display plate that has the film’s title, name of the piece, and a spot where the edition number would have been shown once the piece was put into production. This idol shows some minor wear such as small chips but remains in overall good condition.
