This hero M4 carbine was used by Will Smith as Dr. Robert Neville in the 2007 blockbuster I Am Legend. Neville’s weapon of choice is a highly-customized M4 rifle which never leaves his side. This is a genuine Colt M4 carbine in 5.56mm, semi-automatic civilian version, that was modified for the film. As it is a real firearm, all of the moving parts are fully functional on this model- the retractable stock, removable magazine, working switches, charging handle, sling. It can be fully field stripped as well. The scope is a practical scope with real glass optics. The surefire flashlight and laser on the forearm are also both practical, and functional. The light and laser unit can be removed from the forearm and swapped to the other side- it is seen on both sides in the film. This hero rifle is the signature piece from the film. This Colt M4 carbine was rented to the production, and includes a copy of the rental invoice. This is one of two firing M4 carbines used in the film.
