Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Hoth Rebel Trooper DL-21 Blaster Pistol

replica movie prop weapon

Rebel trooper sidearm, seen in holsters and briefly in hand during the defense and evacuation of Hoth. A modified Blastech DL-21 had previously been carried by Ponda 'Walrus Man' Baba in ANH, and that prop may have been the original from which the ESB blasters were cast.

As with the original master prop, this piece is based on a deactivated Charter Arms AR-7 Explorer .22LR semi-auto rifle, with barrel shortened and stock replaced by a Sterling L2A3 submachine gun grip. The muzzle is a vintage fin assembly from a WWII-era British mortar shell, and the targeting unit is a real single point scope. Functional trigger and bolt; removable clip.
