Hostage, Hostage Bloody “Heaven Can Wait” DVDs and Watch

original movie prop

A pair of blood-spattered DVDs and a watch used in the Bruce Willis action film Hostage. Suffering post-traumatic stress after a failed hostage negotiation, former SWAT officer Jeff Talley (Bruce Willis) moves to a small town as the local police chief. But when another hostage incident flares up, and his own wife and son are dragged into the developing situation, it is up to him to end the siege and save his family.

The DVDs feature heavily as a major plot point of the movie, and these two bloody versions were used at the end of the film after the mansion has been infiltrated and the bad guys are searching for the DVD that contains top secret information. The cases are for different versions of the movie ‘Heaven Can Wait’, one of which has the actual movie inside while the other contains a production-used Fujifilm writeable DVD, and both have traces of the prop blood that Mars (Ben Foster) leaves on them in the film’s thrilling finale.

Amanda's watch was used in the early scenes of the movie when the young daughter argues with her father. The watch is made by ‘Galaxy’ with a wide black leather strap and thick metal buckle. The glass, stainless steel case and watch face remain clean, while all hands remain in place.

In a good production-used condition, the DVD cases measure 19cm x 13.5cm x 2cm (7.5” x 5.25” x 0.75”) while the watch measures 26cm x 4cm x 1.5cm (10.25” x 1.75” x 0.75”).
