Star Trek: Voyager, Holographic Mobile Emitter - 'Author, Author'

This large backpack style mobile holo-emitter device was designed by the Doctor (Robert Picardo) to use in his holo-novel. The large size and weight of this holo-emitter signifies the burden the Doctor has to live with while wearing his own holo-emitter in real life; similar to wearing a ball and chain. Made of gray formed plastic shell with metal and plastic details added including five LED flashing lights on top/back of unit activated by a switch and a small light unit with three LED lights on front shoulder strap. This was used in the episode titled "Author, Author" and was worn by Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), B'Elanna Torres (Roxann Dawson), Neelix (Ethan Phillips), and Ensign Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) as they become the Doctor in the holo-novel. Built by HMS for the show the backpack measures 12" x 24".
