Alice, Hatter's "LUST" Tea Shop Bottle

original movie prop

This item was used in the SyFy T.V. miniseries "Alice" in 2009. Hatter was played by Andrew Lee Potts in the movie. This item is a small glass bottle with a label centered to the front. The label says "LUST" in capital lettering with a border around the word. It has a silver twist cap fastened to the top. There were only a few tea bottles that survived and were not destroyed once the miniseries wrapped-up production. The liquid that originally came in the bottle was the color yellow and had to be dumped due to shipping from Canada to the United States. This miniseries was mostly filmed and produced in British Columbia, Canada because not only is it cheaper to film there, but also Canada has become a major hub for the movie industry in North America.

These tea bottles play a major role during the miniseries, but are prominently showcased more during Part 1 of the movie when Hatter's character is introduced. Hatter owns a tea shop where the citizens of Wonderland bid on tea that is harvested from human emotions. The Queen of Heart's top secret organization abducts humans, Oysters, residing in the real world and drains every last drop of their emotions. The citizens of Wonderland buy these special high-priced and hard-to-find teas due to their drug-like effects. The Queen of Hearts uses these teas to pacify her citizens, making it harder for them to become uncontrollable and want to overthrow her kingdom. Hatter's tea shop has these tea bottles displayed on every table, wall, and shelf during the important tea shop scene. MORE FUTURE ITEMS TO COME...
