Inspector Gadget, Gadgetmobile Steering Wheel Emblem

original movie prop

"Go, go, Gadgetmobile!" This 4.25" x 2.25" x .75" metallic-silver-painted letter “G” resin emblem from the 1999 Walt Disney Pictures live-action film Inspector Gadget was custom-made by the production for placement in the center of the Gadgetmobile's steering wheel. The back exhibits a small area of wear around the screw hole where the piece would have been attached.

Designed by George Barris, the legendary California car customizer behind the 1966 Batmobile and the Munster Koach, the souped-up 1964 Lincoln Continental convertible comes fully-equipped with voice activation, ejection seats, a power-assisted metamorphic camouflage system, a cardio-homing device, a periscope, and a SURGE soda dispenser. Wowsers!

A vehicle with a mind of its own, the Gadgetmobile (voiced by D.L. Hughley) escorts Inspector Gadget (Matthew Broderick) through the city of Riverton, Ohio in the pursuit of the devilish Dr. Claw (Rupert Everett).
