Sleepy Hollow, Flintlock Rifle

A working Flintlock rifle used in the 1999 fantasy horror film Sleepy Hollow. This gun was used in the scenes in the church in the second half of the film when we see the Headless Horseman circling the villagers hiding, some of the villagers are using rifles against the undead horseman. This is a Flintlock rifle with some modification typical of the film, the short barrel gun has a sling close to the end of the barrel and a working flint. The heavy gun measures 114cm (45”) long and has a leather strap attached.
When this finally came in I was astounded to find that its a LIVE FIRE MUSKET!! I loaded the firing cap with gunpowder and the flint ignited it! I am looking to have it checked out by a gunsmith to get it back to safe working conditions. These muskets can kill the operator if they dont know what they are doing.
