S&W Mid Grade Construction: Assembly, metalwork, assembly, by JL Props & Models. Hand Crafted S&W fiberglass shells, acrylic emitter and half moon, 60 degree embossed vintage diamond crisp on P1, with machined 6063-T5 (British HE6) aluminum alloy trims and a brass pin, this hand finished, brush painted, Phaser is an extremely clean and well done. Screen Accurate but not Set Accurate in that the S&W P2 handle is molded as a separate fiberglass part then attached to the P2 body.
JL Props & Models Metal: Midgrade accurate Nozzle (not ratcheting or spinning type, accurate 1968 fixed type), all metal was manually machined; side dial, top dial, thumbwheel with coined edge, trigger stud, solid brass release pin. All accurate to what was seen on the TV screen.
A Mid Grade style Phaser features a power-pack / hand-grip characterized by an elongated central groove that extends along the full length of the handle and inscribed fins at the rear. This exact style mid-grade Phaser appeared in many episodes such as “Spock’s Brain”, "Plato's Stepchildren", “Assignment Earth” and "The Cloud Minders". It is identical to the in appearance to the Zolar-X / Paul G. Allen, the West Coast Collector #1 and, the Turnabout Intruder Mid Grades.
