World Wrestling Entertainment, Event-Worn and Signed Kane Mask

original movie costume

Presented here is a water-formed leather mask that was worn by Glenn "Kane" Jacobs in November, 2000.  The mask is signed by Glenn Jacobs and Terry Anderson, the World Wrestling Entertainment costume designer and seamstress who personally made it. This mask was worn at Survivor Series 2000 and at the "RAW" and "Smackdown!" events the following week (totaling three uses), after which it was given away and would ultimately land in my collection - where it will forever remain - several years later. This mask's minimal ring use has left it immaculate condition, the primary wear being some color fading in areas.

During its short-lived tenure, this mask saw action in matches that also featured The Rock, Chris Jericho, Rikishi, Chris Benoit, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin!

I teach martial arts for a living and one of my old students was head of security at the Civic Center. I got front row seats to all events. While sitting front row at a WWF event in 1987, "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin, after winning his match, removed the tape/wrapping on his fists and tossed them in my lap. The guy behind me offered me $20 for them. I did not sell them and they became the first item in my memorabilia collection. I went throughout the 90's moving each year from apartment to apartment and sadly, the tape was lost somewhere along the way. But I remember it like it was yesterday! [by gaijinryusoke ]
Hey, thanks for the nice comment! What was the item of memorabilia that you were able to score? P.S. I had a look at your "online museum" and I'm thinking that you should open up an actual museum! Wow!!! [by BigRedDemon97 ]
COOL! The very first piece of memorabilia I ever obtained was from the WWF back in 1987 at one of their shows in Baltimore at the Civic Center! [by gaijinryusoke ]
