The Help, Emma Stone as "Skeeter" Phelan Dress
original movie costume
This dress was designed for Emma Stone by costume designer Sharen Davis and custom-made of a pastel striped seersucker material. A great article on the costume design for the film can be found here:

It was worn by Eugenia/"Skeeter" (Emma Stone) as she's confronted by Hilly Holbrook (Bryce Dallas Howard) on her porch, in the aftermath of her article about the mistreatment of black maids in the South. It's completely bespoke and highly fitted, with multiple hidden closures to ensure the perfect drape. This costume was gifted by the production to a charity fundraiser in the town where the movie was filmed, Greenwood, Mississippi, and I purchased it from the winner of that local auction.
Unfortunately, it's hard to capture the true warm pastel colors of this dress with my camera and indoor lighting...
