The Ten Commandments, Egyptian Chairs
original movie prop
I got the chairs as collateral of a loan many years ago. They were bought at a sale of Paramount's props in the 60s or 70s. (The person who bought them was a "stoner" and cannot recall exact dates.)
I was in Cairo, Egypt several years ago and visited the company that, I believe, made the chairs. They had photos from the movie, and others it was used in. I have the 50th Anniversary Collection DVD of "The Ten Commandments". In the film, at 58 minutes is a scene showing one of the chairs. It is knocked over. At 1hr:18 minutes, it appears for a long time in a scene with Vincent Price. My Gold Cup is also in that scene. At 1 hr and 24 minutes, Yul Brynner sits on the chair. At 1 hr and 39 minutes, Edward G. Robinson sits in the chair and uses the gold cup.

is a link to an article from a Museum exhibit which shows the chair. I have two chairs. One is in near perfect condition, the second is damaged and missing the carved heads.
Let me know what you think.
This is a professionally taken photo of the best of the two chairs. In the film, this chair is thrown to the floor. I think the two chairs I have are the rehearsal chair and the onscreen chair.
