Inglourious Basterds, Distressed Nazi General Jacket

A highly distressed Wehrmacht General's Jacket worn in Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 unique take on World War II, Inglourious Basterds. Various guests to the premiere of Zoller's war hero motion picture attended by Hitler himself can be seen in this style of jacket as part of their uniform before the entire cinema goes up in flames and torn down in a barrage of bullets in the assassination attempt.
The grey and red trimmed jacket is adorned with silver braids fixed at the right shoulder beneath silver epaulettes, with red and silver dual bar embroidered collar tabs that repeat at the cuffs. It fastens at the front with silver buttons and features the Nazi 'Reichsadler' emblem on the right breast. The cotton garment is in a production distressed condition with bullet holes and prop blood spatter covering much of the surface, which, due to the 'wet look' that was required during hours of filming is still slightly tacky. The inside of the jacket has been intentionally ripped where the 'bullet-hit' squibs were placed. There is no size marked although there is a large handwritten”FX” in blue ink on the inside neck label. A great production used piece from the rather historically inaccurate finale to the movie!
