These burnt and dismembered Skitters learned the true meaning of a scorched earth policy. The special-effects team took exceptional care in creating realistic burn patterns, in addition to stab wounds and blown-up body parts, to honor Skitters who are forced to do the bidding of their Overlords. These battered and charred Skitters prove that they fought valiantly but paid the price for opposing the 2nd Mass. Special Effects Supervisor Todd Masters and his Masters FX team imbued the Skitters with incredibly life-like, individual features and expressions to remind us that they once had families and lives before the Esphenis enslaved them.
