Space 1999 TV 1975, Desk Lamp and Cart

The Sorella Table Lamp, designed by Harvey Guzzini can be seen in the 1970’s TV series Space: 1999 which largely takes place in the memorable Moonbase Alpha film set. In the Bond film Moonraker (1979) you will find three black Sorella table lamps appear on the desk in Dr. Goodhead’s office as well as white ones in Drax’s spaceship. This was reissued in 2011 and marketed as a tie in to Space: 1999.  

The Joe Colombo Boby trolley storage cart has long been a favourite of designers, artists and… space travellers! Not only can it be spotted as a film prop in Space 1999 but also many other films and TV series including most all Star Trek series, most recently on Discovery. Designed in 1970 is it still very much available today.
