Dax-ur was a scientist who was studying the effect of the yellow sun on Kryptonian minerals. He also created the Brain InterActive Construct (Brainiac) . When he realized his creation could cause mass destruction, he exiled himself to Earth and bound his powers by the use of blue kryptonite.
