Alita: Battle Angel, Credit Currency Coin Tokens

Alita Battle Angel Credit Currency Coin Tokens.

Set of (1) each (7 total) of ALL tokens minted and or created for use in the motion picture Alita Battle Angel to be offered to the public. 

Only 5 sets containing the 100 and 50 credit tokens were ever offered. 

 The 100 and 50 credit tokens were made as test pieces but because they were both carved with a Tormach and then hand finished, the manufacturing time was too lengthy to produce more than a few of each of the tokens, they never went into mass production.  I am including them here because they were made for the film and are a part of the total coinage produced, if not used, in the motion picture.

This set includes the ultimate and most rare of all of the Alita coins:  

THE 1000 CREDIT .999 FINE 1 OUNCE SILVER COIN! 

There are only 75 of these coins in existence. This is one of the 

original 50 struck in 2016!! It is .999 fine silver and incredibly rare and will be the last to be offered for quite some time. 

The second coin in this group is a screen used, nickel silver 1000 credit coin.

The fifth coin is a post production 1000 credit brass coin minted for use in the escape rooms.

These aren't the cheap 3d printed internet tribute pieces, they are the real, minted tokens, designed and struck for the smash hit Alita Battle Angel. 

The Nickel Silver and the 1 ounce pure silver coins were only made for the production of the film and were minted in two groups dating to September 2016 and January of 2017.   All of the nickel silver and 50 pure silver were minted in 2016 and  an additional 25 pure silver minted in January 2017.

Towards the end of filming, the producers started handing the coins out as promotional items to press and dignitaries visiting the film set.  After all 500 original screen used coins were dispersed additional coins were ordered. The nickel silver was too hard on the dies and brass was used starting in 2017.   No brass coins were in existence during the making of the film and none are considered screen used they are strictly promotional items associated with the escape rooms .  All nickel silver coins were used during the filming of the Kansas Bar scenes so any nickel silver coin was on set while filming. 

In addition to the 1000 credit coin there were (500) each of the 10 and 1 credit coins minted for use during production.  None of these coins saw further minting or distribution.

 These coins are made of various metals and were aged during preproduction for use in the film.  No coin is alike in that all are continuing to age and change in their own ways – you never know what they will look like in 20 years.  There are very few of these coins in existence and there will be no more made from these dies.  If you are a coin collector as well as a movie buff – do not be distressed that the coins looked to be cleaned, aged, buffed, etc – all of those things were done to them to fit the world of Iron City – nothing shiny there.
