Star Trek: The Original Series, Cage Enterprise Gooseneck Viewer

The very first shots of the Enterprise interior in the first pilot episode The Cage showed us these 'futuristic' viewscopes at all the major bridge stations, and throughout the ship. They were gone (along with Jeffrey Hunter) by the second pilot, Where No Man Has Gone Before. Not specifically named onscreen, James Blish called them 'gooseneck viewers' in his TOS print adaptations.
