This is the actual buoy prop seen in the opening attack on "Chrissie Watkins" played by stuntwoman Susan Backlinie. This is what she grabs in a desperate effort to save herself from the unseen beast below. A truly iconic prop from one of the most famous scenes in movie history.
Reunited: Susan Backline (alive and well) autographed it at JawsFest in 2005.
