Alien, Brett’s Death Scene hat with production patch

This is Brett’s hat from 1979 ALIEN. This hat was made specifically for Brett's "Death Scene" and rumor says that a paper version of the patch was used during the inner jaw punch to allow for an easier puncture through the hat. There are two slight differences with this “death scene” version hat with the first being the leaf-shaped embellishments (the "scrambled eggs") on the visor which are slightly different and the second difference is the color of the background on the patch. The more common version patch has a grey background behind the lettering (mostly seen throughout the movie on Brett’s hat), while this “death scene” version hat has a dark blue background behind the lettering. The patch is not known on its exact use. This particular hat is a back up version but with how rare and iconic this hat is in general, that didn’t bother us one bit!
