The Wolfman, Benicio del Toro close up stunt Werewolf Mask

original make-up / prosthetics

A wonderfully detailed stunt werewolf mask used in the production of the 2010 horror film The Wolfman. Brought back to his family’s estate to investigate the death of his brother, Shakespearean actor Lawrence Talbot (Benicio del Toro) finds himself bitten by a werewolf. Suffering fits and terrible dreams he eventually recovers, but it’s not long before the darkness within him is unleashed.

This style of mask was worn by the transformed form of Lawrence, and would have been used for close up stunt work and scenes where full prosthetics were inappropriate for use. Made of latex, the mask has intricately sculpted facial detail, fully sculpted teeth and has punched hair running across the face and head. The mask's interior is lined in chamois leather for the comfort of the wearer and glue residue is still present internally. The mask is finished in brown with the teeth finished in shades of yellow and brown and the gums a reddish pink, giving the mask a monstrous visage.

The mask remains in very good production-used condition with minimal additional wear from use and time spent in storage.
