Sucker Punch, Ammo

original movie prop weapon

Rocket's (Jena Malone) Stunt UMP45 Ammunition Magazine from Zack Snyder's 2011 fantasy action film, Sucker Punch. In the film, a young woman named Babydoll (Emily Browning) is sent to an asylum by her abusive stepfather. There, she plans her escape and enlists the help of her fellow inmates to assist in her journey through mind bending alternate realities. Magazines of this style can be seen carried and discarded by Rocket, who carries an HK UMP45 as her primary firearm during numerous fantasy sequences. Made from foam rubber, this item was cast from an actual Heckler and Koch magazine and includes original factory markings on the clip with fake .45 ammunition built into the top. Stunt magazines like this one are often worn by actors to give the illusion of carrying additional ammunition, while not adding significant weight to the actor during action sequences. They are also ideal for discarding on camera, as they are not likely to break when thrown. This particular item has been painted black, with the bullets painted gold and bronze for a realistic finish.
