Elysium, Amero Bills

A prop 1 and 5 Amero bill used in the production of Elysium. This note and others like it can be seen being waved as the desperate people of Los Angeles try and buy passage to Elysium on one of Spider’s illegal shuttle runs. Made of heavy paper, the multi-coloured future currency is printed in greens, reds and purples and marked for use in the North American Union Commercial Zone – the USA, Canada and Mexico – with an image of North America and the denomination in English, French and Spanish on one side and a flying pelican/eagle on the reverse.
