Star Wars: A New Hope, Almost 4 feet X-Wing Fighter prop
scaled scratch-built model / miniature
This is a 39 inches long and 30 inches wide X-Wing Fighter prop model. It is completely from scratch except for the four inch star wars figures ,which have been cut up and reconfigured and then repainted. It is a balsa wood frame covered in sheet styrene plastic ,and then built up or layered with individually cut panels .The engines are made up of plastic shot glasses and the plastic covers for the "Glade " scent plugins refils.The cannons on the end of the wings are alluminum knitting needles with different diameter plastic tubes slid over the ends. Kitbashed tank parts make up some of the greeblies on the panel located behind the r2 unit.That panel is removeable to access the electronics and the self contained power supply.The rear engines light up and the r2 unit lights up , whistles and bleeps .The wings are permenently fixed in the open position.
