The Wizard of Oz, Aged Burgundy Replica Ruby Slippers
made from scratch movie costume
Custom made components include: burgundy translucent sequins, Art Deco heels, base shoes crafted on a pair of custom shoe lasts, center bow jewels, extra thin bugle beads. The silks used were hand dyed. The rose montee rhinestones and shoe shanks are the only vintage components. Size 5C. All sequins, beads, and jewels were hand sewn to silk overlays, and the sequins were given a multi-step aging finish.
