The Hunted, Aaron Hallam's Wilderness Survival Knife
made from scratch movie prop
This piece is, imo, the most screen-accurate version of Aaron Hallam's Wilderness Survival Knife (WSK), & scabbard, in existence (aside from purchasing one from David Beck ($$$!), the original knifesmith for the film).
The knife is hand-forged from carbon steel, which was then blued to protect the blade (& to give it the correct finish). The scales are made from black micarta. The decision was made to leave the loveless bolts (the fasteners for the scales) bare, because they simply looked too nice to blacken (an inaccuracy I was more than happy to live with, along with the necessary maker's mark). The scabbard is made from black leather.
This entire project was crafted with pride, by the master blacksmith at 'CAVALER URBAN' in Romania.
