The Silence, "Vesp" Creature Egg

original movie prop

When the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, 16-year old who lost her hearing at 13 and her family seek refuge in a remote haven. From the 2019 horror film The Silence, this is a Vesp creature egg used during the film production. In the film a cave research team unearths an unknown species of blind pterosaur-like creature, referred to as "Vesps," (created from the Spanish avispa, meaning wasps) from a mine. The Vesps violently kill the researchers, fly out of the mine, and seek the noisiest areas. They are an ancient species of bat-like monsters that, while blind, are highly sensitive to sound. Made from silicone with internal baby creature inside and black fabric backing the Eggs were fabricated to show how the creatures laid the eggs and planted them inside animals or anything that could protect them while hatching.
