Friends, “Hugsy” Joey’s bed-time penguin pal from the TV show Friends

This stuffed animal penguin is an identical match to Matt LaBlanc’s (Joey Tribbiani) bed time penguin pall “Hugsy” on NBC’s hit series Friends.
This fluffy guy can be seen in many episodes. He is even part of a central plot in a later episode involving Rachel, Joey and Emma.
He is an 18 inch black and white plush penguin with a golden-yellow quilted vest, matching cap and plastic ski goggles.
According to his tush-tag he was made in 1999.
From my research, his correct title, outside of Friends, is Mummford.
He is apart of a holiday collection of home goods from Debbie Mumm and sold at the department store Mervyns back in the late 1990’s.
From my understanding, producers for Friends grabbed a random Mummford off the shelves and that same stuffed animal would now be known as “Hugsy” to the 6 group of friends and to millions of fans.
The one pictured is no different then the screen used prop. They are “brothers” if you will.
The Mummford or Hugsy stuffed animal makes appearances in other TV shows like Boy Meets World and Everybody Loves Raymond (see photos).
