From Tristar Pictures and Amblin Entertainment (1998) 'The Mask of Zorro'. It was Director Martin Campell who was responsible for the reboot of the classic Zorro-franchise. Producer Steven Spielberg hired Campell because he was also the man behind the new James Bondfilm Goldeneye in 1995, which introduced Pierce Brosnan as the new 007 and gave the series a serious boost. Zorro was a Blockbuster hit back hit in '98 grossing more than 250 mio dollar worldwide and launched the careers of both Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
