Pandorum (2009), Wind-Up Auxiliary Power Box

This box can be seen at the beginning of the film when Payton (Dennis Quaid) gets dressed and then seats himself at the control panel and reaches down to wind this machine and bring power back to the panel to the surprise of Bower (Ben Foster). The box is made predominantly of wood painted silver, the front can be removed to reveal the inside workings; a wheel which rotates when the handle is turned and a red and green ‘light’ which would have been lit by mains. The metal grill is still present, but the screen that displays when 100%l powered has been reached is not included. The box measures 51cm x 34cm x 37cm (20” x 13.25” x 14.5”)
