The Boxtrolls, Variety of Cheeses

original movie prop

A young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator. The 2014 Laika stop motion film The Boxtrolls is based on the children's novel “Here Be Monsters” by Alan Snow. This is a fascinating array of screen used cheeses that were served and eaten by Lord Portley-Rind and the members of the cheese-loving White Hats, the well-to-do council that Archibald Snatcher desperately wanted to join despite a grotesque allergy to the stuff. The attention to detail on the 15 individual pieces of cheese in the lot is amazing, each hand-painted and measuring 1" to 3".
