Praetor Shinzon has a thing for knives, and at the movie's climax, uses a sleek vicious Reman blade in an attempt to stop Picard from destroying the Scimitar's thalaron radiation weapon. The distinctive piece is also featured on the onesheet movie poster.

As with other alien knives seen in the film, the Jackal was designed by famed knifemaker Gil Hibben. While Hibben's limited edition handmade knives are coveted by collectors and extremely rare, even certain of his numbered licensed replicas such as this beautiful fantasy blade, representing the 1999 entry in his annual artist's design series with United Cutlery, can be hard to find.
