Back To The Future 2 (1989), Pitbull Hoverboard prototype

This is the first prototype for the pitbull hoverboard used by Griff Tannen in Back to the Future Part 2.  This pitbull prototype was originally in the bttfprops collection, then was in the prop king collection, and went through several other collector's hands.  The last collector had one of the members of the art department paint just the top of the board and the rocket.  The decal and the footpad are replica creations to finish out the display.  The rockets, the rear trim and the board itself are all original production used items.  The bottom has numerous drill holes, and hand written notes in pencil as they tried to figure out the sizing and placement of the hover discs and other props.
