One of the most memorable spy gadgets of any TV show, the Pen Communicator allowed U.N.C.L.E. agents to instantly reach headquarters and each other, just by removing the pen's end piece, flipping it around and reconnecting it, exposing the gold microphone grid. Pull up the hidden antenna, and “Open Channel D”. The Pen Communicator replaced the Cigarette Case Communicator in the second season, and thereafter became standard issue for all U.N.C.L.E. agents.
