A Kaiju Alarm Officer Uniform from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. Kaiju Alarm officers like this can be seen in the streets of the Bone Slums as well as in the bunker when the Kaiju attacks.
The costume consists of the officer’s memorable jacket, hat, shirt, trousers, and gloves. The leather duster jacket features several dressings from production, including a yellow safety sash vest, grey braids, gold buttons, and a Kaiju patch and arm band. The hat has been equally customized for the film, with a rain cover and a Kaiju Alarm patch on the front, tagged “Soo-Hon.” The shirt is a short-sleeve, button down white shirt. The trousers are grey slacks with brown pin stripes, and a tag that says “Soo Hon Kim.” The gloves are white, men’s dress gloves. The lot also includes a green ID card clipped to the sash vest. These costume components remain in good condition.
