During the movie, Mike believes he has dreamed the entire events that had happened in while in room 1408 and writes his novel "1408". He is seen placing the pages into the envelope at his office and then presenting it to the clerk at the Post Office.

'1408' may be Mike's next big ticket back to the top of the best-seller list, but will he survive even one night?
