This is one of 3 mini Joe 'puppets' used in the scene when his helicopter explodes and he has to parachute into the ocean before being captured by Kim Jong Il. This is actually a small action figure (about 2 1/2 inches) painted to look like Joe in Team America gear. They made 3 or 4 of these, I guess for multiple shots. Since they land in water, that probably kind of screws up the plastic toy parachute (the printing started to come off where the chute was stuck to itself). There's flames in the water in this scene, and one of the parachutes is burned. He must have landed on one of the flames.
Here's the shot where this little figure can be seen floating down into the ocean after Kim Jong Il has shot down all of the Team America planes. |
