This is a screen matched facehugger creature from the 1986 James Cameron science fiction film Aliens. This facehugger was seen when Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and Newt (Carrie Henn) fall asleep in the medical laboratory, awakening to find themselves locked in the room with the two facehuggers which have been released from their tanks. Ripley is able to alert the marines, who rescue them and kill the creatures. Ripley accuses Carter Burke (Paul Reiser ) of attempting to smuggle implanted Alien embryos past Earth's quarantine inside her and Newt, and of planning to kill the rest of the marines in hypersleep during the return trip so that no one could contradict his version of events. This facehugger has been mounted on a themed display to recreate the feel of the film and was the exact one used on Ripley during the laboratory scenes. It was obtained from a crew member which also confirmed it’s time of use on screen.
