Bicentennial Man (1999), Andrew Robot Costume
original movie costume
This full sized robot suit was worn throughout the movie by Robin Willims as "Andrew". It is a fully enclosed robot suit so that no part of his body was exposed. It is made of very nicely finished plastics and metals. There is amazing details in the coloring and in several see through panels on the body. Built into the head are electronic servos for the eye lids and eye brows so they could be moved via remote control for expressions.
There are two phases of robot costumes that Andrew has during the movie, this is the first phase from the beginning of the movie up to when he has an "upgrade". The second phase robot suit has thinner and smoother lines along with a silicone face in order to show more expressions.
